Cold Brew Coffee Preparation & Heat

Cold Brew Coffee Preparation

Cold brew is becoming more popular because it is less bitter to the taste when coffee is created overnight in a refrigerated cold brewer without being heated. However few coffee shops offer cold brew heated after it’s prepared. I love it heated after it is cold-brewed – no bitterness, but still hot. I do this at home by measuring out the brewed, cold coffee from the refrigerator and adding another measured bit of water, then microwaving.

This happens three to four times daily. I keep it hot by using a 16 ounce stainless steel travel mug. It completely replaces water for me and I carry my coffee with me when attending meetings, visiting friends or family and while traveling. I can’t get coffee this good anywhere – so I make it in advance and take two or three travel mugs depending on where I go and how long I’m out.
